DESCRIPTION

Lobivia arachnacantha is a small cluster forming cactus, with stunning, showy red blooms around the top of the stem. Flowers appear in mid to late spring and often keep producing new blooms until mid to late summer.

A relatively easy cactus to grow, water moderately in the warmer months and very little in winter. Plant in a well draining soil mix with plenty of gravel or perlite.

To encourage the best flowers, subject your plant to a cold period in winter (move outside to a cold but dry area if kept indoors) and fertilize lightly during the growing season.
