DESCRIPTION

Disocactus anguliger / Disocactus anguligerum (formerly Epiphyllum anguliger), or better known as the Fishbone or Ric Rac Cactus, is an unusual looking trailing, epiphytic cactus, with large, showy, scented, white and bronze flowers in summer / autumn. The flowers bloom at night and generally last for one day, depending on conditions. The Fishbone Cactus is an easy plant to grow and requires very little maintenance. It likes a position in filtered or dappled light and does not tolerate direct sunlight well. Plant it in a rich, very well drained organic mix, such as orchid bark with perlite added. Water moderately during the growing and flowering season (spring/summer) and less in the winter.

To keep me at my best

Plant me in a rich, well-drained compost with bark or perlite. Keep it moist, but not wet. Place me in bright light or partial shade (no direct sun). Bright light will encourage me to flower.
