Disocactus anguliger / Disocactus anguligerum (formerly Epiphyllum anguliger), or better known as the Fishbone or Ric Rac Cactus, is an unusual looking trailing, epiphytic cactus, with large, showy, white flowers in summer / autumn. The flowers bloom at night and generally last for one day, depending on conditions. The Fishbone Cactus is an easy plant to grow and requires very little maintenance. It likes a position in filtered or dappled light and does not tolerate direct sunlight well. Plant it in a rich, very well drained organic mix, such as orchid bark with perlite added. Water moderately during the growing and flowering season (spring/summer) and less in the winter.
