DESCRIPTION

This cute cactus is also classified as Rebutia muscula and often labelled as Rebutia fiebrigii. The name muscula means 'small mouse' with its dense white spines that resemble fur.

Aylostera muscula is a compact growing cactus that thrives in bright light. It grows best when positioned in full sun, with some afternoon shade.

It is a reasonably slow grower that offsets readily. Showy, bright orange flowers appear in spring to early summer. It requires minimal fertiliser and a cold winter to produce it's best flowers. Repot annually in spring.

It is an easy cactus to grow, and a rewarding beginners plant.
